Beginning March , 2024, Two Fish Books will work in conjunction with Nunez Community College to host a book club on the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00 PM.  Call the bookstore at 504-813-9974 for more information.

We gladly accept your gently-used books according to the following guidelines:

• Books can be dropped off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between the hours of 11:00 and 4:00.
• Please pack your books in sturdy tote bags or boxes. Large, heavy boxes of books are difficult to handle; please break up large quantities into several boxes. 
• We accept children’s books as well as adult fiction and nonfiction books. Please be aware that all hardback books must include the dust jacket. Books that we do not accept: textbooks of any kind, library books, books labeled For Sale Through the School Market Only which were purchased through school book fairs, or books written in or colored by children (reading notes made by adults are ok). 
• Once our staff has gone through your books (it takes a few days), one of us will call you to let you know what your credit value is and if there are any books that we do not think we can accept. If there are books we do not accept, you can come pick them up, or we can donate them to a local charity. Be advised that if you do not pick up your books within one week’s time, Two Fish Books reserves the right to donate your books. 
• We offer 25% store credit on our store price. For instance, if the SRP of a book is $10.00, you will receive $2.50 in store credit.  Used books are sold at a 20% discount off the SRP. 
• When you come to the store to make a purchase with your credit, we will ask you to pay for half of your purchase with cash or card and half with your available credit. If the total of your purchase is $42.00, you would pay $21 plus tax with card or cash, and we would then deduct $21 from your credit balance. There is no limit to the amount of credit you can use at one time; if your credit balance amounts to less than half of your total, we will use all of your available credit on that transaction.
